From our hands seeding this sacred giver of blue last February in our greenhouse, to many hands planting her out into the field in the spring to grow tall and green under last summer’s sun, and then to be harvested in late July, hung to dry, de-stemmed, bagged and weighed in anticipation of her joyful blue offering, we proudly offer to you our Indigo Natural Dye Kits!

Your Kit Will Include
100g of crushed and de-stemmed organically grown indigo
instructions for creating your vat
lime
potassium carbonate
fructose
1 12 x12 white cotton handkerchief
3 small photo prints of the indigo out in our flower fields
almost a year’s worth of intention, time and love
Please note, this vat will make enough color for a few small pieces other than the included handkerchief, such as a pair of socks, a t-shirt, a few skeins of yarn, a pillow case.. this is not for large amounts of items. Please read up on scouring and mordanting your fabric/fiber before you begin. The instruction booklet included has resources for this as well.
